General Duties

Yorkshire Precision engineering ltd are a family run subcontract engineering business supplying components to a wide variety of industries including subsea, medical and hydraulic industries, and are looking for a General Duties Operative to join our team. Job Description * Operation of Forklift truck & Overhead crane manouvering materials in the factory and taking deliveries. * Keeping up with general house keeping of the factory, Mopping and using the floor cleaner * De-burring / Polishing of components when required. * Organising Material racks * Helping out the packing operatives * Using a Freddy machine to clean machine sumps and topping up with coolant * Opreration of the Bandsaw to cut billets or bar to length * Working across 2 sites * Wrapping of pallets for delivery Skills Required * Must have an eye for detail * Fork lift or Crane licence prefered but not required (We would put you on a course for these) * Must be Self-motivated, dedicated and able to work under own initiative. * Willing to help others if needed 40 Hours per week, the hours are : Mon-Thursday 7.00am - 5:30pm or 6.00am - 4.30pm 4 DAY WEEK * 200 hours holiday per year + Statutory holiday * every 3 years service 1 holiday day added * Pension scheme * Free parking * Access to Bright Exchange offering discounts and deal on top end brands. * Yearly appraisals
